Returns Policies

New Items

New items are generally covered against manufacturing fault, by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods vary in length between the manufacturers, but are generally 12 months from the date of purchase.  

Faulty or Damaged Goods

Always check your items immediately on receipt. If the box appears damaged or compromised in any way, always make a note and sign to this effect with the courier.  ANY FAULTS, SHORTAGES, BREAKAGES OR OTHER ISSUES WITH ITEMS PURCHASED ONLINE MUST BE REPORTED TO THE STORE IN WRITING (email is sufficient) WITHIN 7 DAYS OF RECEIVING THE ITEM.  At such time we will determine a course of action regards the item, which will include requesting photoghraphic evidence of any damage reported.

If a return is agreed, each item must then be returned to the store in its original packaging within 7 DAYS. We strongly recommend customers return goods via a signed-for courier service, and all return postage costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Wherever possible, Hollywood Music will test the item(s) to confirm the fault, and contact the manufacturer on your behalf.  If the manufacturer or supplier of the item(s) agrees to replace the unit, we will organise a replacement for you. (If we are holding stock, you may be able to take a replacement from the shop.)  

Non-Faulty items

If the item is not faulty, but you still wish to return it, you must still contact or visit the store within 7 DAYS.  The purchaser is responsible for the safe and recorded return of each item, including the cost of postage and packaging.  We reserve the right to offer you credit in the form of Hollywood Gift Vouchers only, valid for six (6) months, which can be spent only in the store (not online). We further reserve the right to charge a restocking/administrative fee of up to 15%.

Your statutory rights are not affected by these policies.

Pre Owned Items 

Where offered, warranties on pre-owned items are offered and supported by Hollywood Music directly. For in-store purchases, this is usually indicated on the Sales Receipt issued at time of sale. Where offered, our warranty generally protects the item against fault for three months from date of purchase.

We make every effort to ensure our items descriptions are accurate, noting any blemishes or damage where appropriate. In the case of issue regarding condition, all tems are sold as described and only when an extreme difference from the advertised condition is evident, are we able to consider an exchange or voucher-based refund.

Please note: We are an extremely reasonable and honourable business, and we will always do our best to support our customers.

Your rights to return goods are also protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
